Product Management in the Public Interest

Join us for an evening of engaging conversation around the public interest technology domain. Organizations that aim to elevate meaningful participation in the public interest technology domain face unique product challenges, and have valuable lessons to share. A couple of experienced founders and product leaders in this space will tell their stories and conduct a short prototyping workshop to give attendees an opportunity to collaborate and engage. Speakers:

Srikar Prasad is currently an Associate Director at Wayfair. Formerly a Google PM, he’s also founded 3 startups, including YourList, an app focused on helping raise constituent concerns to lawmakers. His talk will focus on ‘lessons learned starting and killing a civic tech company

Katy Peters is the Co-Founder and COO of Democracy Works, a team of developers, public policy wonks, and civic organizers building the tools needed to upgrade the infrastructure of our democracy. She has also worked in information management at the UN and the National Democratic Institute.

Moderated by Kathy Pham, fellow and adjunct lecturer, product management at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Co-hosted by ProductTank, Women in Product, and the Shorenstein Center’s Technology and Social Change Project.
