Chris Finn

Christopher Finn joined The Carlyle Group in 1996; he spearheaded the firm’s expansion into Europe, overseeing buyout, growth equity, real estate, and credit from London. He served as Global Chief Operating Officer of Carlyle’s Corporate Private Equity and Credit business segments, eventually becoming COO of the firm in 2019. Finn has been a member of the Board of Directors for multiple Carlyle portfolio companies, including buyout, technology, credit, and real estate investments.  

Prior to joining Carlyle, Finn served as Executive Vice President of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), the U.S. Government agency that provided financing to U.S. investors in the developing world. Finn is an honors graduate of Harvard College, and a current Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellow at Harvard University.   

Finn has served on the boards of NGOs focused on private investment, anti-corruption, and effectiveness of public/private development assistance. He also served on the boards of trustees of secondary schools in the UK and Switzerland.
