The Shorenstein Center participated in the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard Law School’s Future of the Internet Summit on October 17, 2023. Former Shorenstein Center fellow Kasia Chmielienski was on the first panel, talking about their work on improving privacy and transparency in data online, followed by a panel featuring Professor Latanya Sweeney discussing her work in the Public Interest Tech Lab, and a final discussion panel featuring center director Nancy Gibbs with Martha Minnow and Nabiha Syed, talking about the future of the online information ecosystem.

President Obama was scheduled to attend and join the first panel, but had to cancel at the last minute due to illness.
