In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, an intimate fireside with U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-TX) and Alejandra Campoverdi, author of the national bestselling book FIRST GEN, former Obama White House official, and Shorenstein Center Advisory Board member, as they unpack their own first generation journeys and explore the cost and achievability of social mobility for those who are the first in their families to cross a societal threshold. The discussion will be moderated by the Shorenstein Center’s Schuster Fellow Brandi Collins-Dexter.
