Alyce Lee brings over 25 years of leadership experience in the corporate, nonprofit, and civic sectors, with a focus on health, education, housing, and cultural equity. She currently serves on the boards of the Pine Street Inn and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and chairs the Board of the Associates of the Boston Public Library. Her past board service includes Boston Medical Center, Greater Boston YMCA, and others.
Appointed to the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees by Governor Deval Patrick, she later chaired the Committee on ALYCE LEE CHAIR OF THE ASSOCIATES OF THE BOSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY Student and Academic Affairs. At Boston Medical Center, she served for 17 years as a Founding Trustee, Vice President, and Finance Chair.
Lee was Chief of Staff to Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino and led the city’s coordination for the Democratic Convention. As Executive Director of the Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation, she oversaw the construction and rehabilitation of 600 affordable housing units and the Codman Square Health Center.
A Wellesley College Graduate, she began her career as a banking officer at the First National Bank of Boston. Lee’s career reflects deep knowledge of underserved communities and how to engage them- insight essential to journalism that aims to be inclusive, equitable, and impactful.
