November 24, 2015 — Douglas Shorenstein, a long-time supporter of the Shorenstein Center and advisory board co-chair, has passed away at the age of 60. He had a vision for the Center that was realized through his ideas and generosity. In his passing, the Center has lost a great friend, adviser, and benefactor. The Center extends it deepest condolences to Doug’s family.
Doug was the leader of one of San Francisco’s most prominent real estate development families, and was also a past chairman of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Read more on SFGate.
