Description: The federal open data strategy includes efforts to spur a broader ecosystem of users and actively market federal data. What are “data jams,” “datapaloozas,” and hackathons, and how is the government using them to broaden awareness, prioritize resources, and accelerate feedback? What is the role of incentive prizes in data innovation? A number of federal agencies are establishing a Chief Data Officer role to evangelize their data assets. How is this role distinct from CIO and CTO responsibilities?
Time: Wednesday, February 25, 2015, 4:00pm-5:30pm
Location: Harvard Kennedy School, Taubman Building Room 102, Women and Public Policy Program Cason Conference Room
