Shorenstein Center holds briefing on the economy and New York

February 19, 2009 — The Harvard Club of New York was the site of a briefing for journalists on the economy and New York, sponsored by the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy.

The guests of honor at the event were the Honorable Jon S. Corzine, governor of New Jersey, and the Honorable David A. Paterson, governor of New York. The talk was moderated by Alex S. Jones, director of the Shorenstein Center. Also present was Walter H. Shorenstein, who endowed the Shorenstein Center in 1986 in memory of his daughter Joan, a political journalist and producer at CBS News.
