Human Rights Watch to End Its Celebrated Film Festival

Human Rights Watch announced the closure of its longstanding film festival due to financial constraints, marking the end of a three-decade legacy of showcasing independent films on human rights issues. While highlighting the impact of the festival, and its role in promoting underrepresented perspectives and pushing for increased accessibility standards in the film industry, Human Rights Watch shares that the decision comes as part of a wider restructuring, although scheduled festivals in the UK, Ireland, and Canada will proceed as planned.
