Description: FOIA reform narrowly missed becoming law in the last Congress, but the Obama Administration has been pushing ahead on modernization of FOIA Administration—including a new advisory committee, efforts to standardize administrative rules, and new software built by 18F, the new digital services unit at the General Services Administration. What are the implications of a more user-friendly requesting service for journalists, businesses, NGOs, and the public? How might changes to FOIA (administrative or legislative) impact the ongoing effort to open data?
Time: Wednesday, April 1, 2015, 4:00pm-5:30pm
