Description: Increasingly, cities are networking vehicles, street lights, electric grids, and other devices. Will these investments deliver a more cost-effective, efficient set of city services? How can they ensure a more accountable municipal government? What are the privacy implications of collecting all of this data? How can this data be a platform for civic and private sector innovation? How can the convening power of the federal government help (e.g. SmartAmerica)? What is the role of the federal government in standards development?
