Unlocked: How Government Works

Unlocked is a new series that aims to make the inner workings of government more understandable to journalists, content creators, and others tasked with explaining the news of the world today.

In these times of unprecedented changes to government, and also record high levels of distrust in institutions, knowing what to report and how is challenging. From The Journalist’s Resource and the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, Unlocked aims to help the media, and by extension, the general public, better understand the underpinnings of government structures, systems, and processes.
