Caroline manages the Shorenstein Center’s major public events and awards programs, including the Goldsmith Awards, Theodore H. White Lecture, and Richard S. Salant Lecture. She oversees event planning and production from conception through execution and leads event communications and audience outreach. She also assists with strategic communications planning and contributes to website content, digital storytelling, and other communications initiatives, working with faculty, fellows, and research programs to bring their work to wider audiences.
Before joining the Shorenstein Center, Caroline worked in academic publishing in Massachusetts and New York, primarily on books in public and social policy, international studies and political science, and philosophy and religion. Her earlier experience in the restaurant industry shaped her approach to event production and taught her the value of hospitality, adaptability, and attention to detail. She holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Art History from Smith College and is currently pursuing studies in digital storytelling at the Harvard Extension School.
