2023 Goldsmith Awards, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting, in-person on March 15 at Harvard's Sanders Theater and livestreamed online.

The annual Goldsmith Awards, presented by the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, honor public service journalism that has an impact on United States public policy and the functioning of government.

This year’s event, which will take place on March 15, 2023 in Harvard’s Sanders Theater, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting. We will honor six reporting teams (five finalists and one winner) that have done the best investigative reporting that has an impact on U.S. public policy in the previous year. The winner is announced live during the ceremony.

2023 Goldsmith Career Award Winner Judy Woodruff will serve as the keynote speaker of the event. Two awards will also be given for books published in the last year on a topic at the intersection of media, politics, and public policy.

The in-person ceremony will be open to public, and will be livestreamed at GoldsmithAwards.org and ShorensteinCenter.org (on this page!). Admission to the in-person event is free, however registration is required. Tickets can be reserved online and in person from the Harvard Box Office, with limited tickets available at the door.
