Rebuilding trust in health reporting while covering misinformation

In today’s information landscape, many people trust false or misleading health claims more than the accurate, responsible and ethical journalism that could help protect their lives and well-being. Journalists face the urgent challenge of not only identifying and confronting misinformation—including when it comes from powerful public figures—but also getting the truth heard and believed.

Trusting News and The Journalist’s Resource, a project of Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center, collaborated to share how journalists can break through the noise to rebuild audience trust and better reach communities with their factual reporting.
