Richard Davis is a professor of political science at Brigham Young University. He is the author or co-author of many books on media and politics including Electing Justice: Fixing the Supreme Court Nomination Process; Politics Online: Blogs, Chatrooms, and Discussion Groups in American Democracy; and The Web of Politics: The Internet’s Impact on the American Political System. In 2003, Davis won the McGannon Communication Policy Award for his book Campaigning Online: The Internet in U.S. Elections. Davis received his Ph.D. in political science from Syracuse University. At the Shorenstein Center, Davis researched and wrote about the political blogosphere.
