In September, Color Congress held its inaugural National Convening, bringing together leaders from US documentary organizations with the aim to foster collaboration and address challenges in the industry. Karin Chien, a Distribution Advocates founding member, delivered a keynote addressing the distribution crisis and emphasizing the need for a collective response. With Color Congress’s endorsement, Distribution Advocates is now engaged in three programs: one targeting mindset shifts, another focusing on creating new distribution structures, and the third advocating for necessary regulation.
