Senior Researcher, 2026 Voting Information Trends

Ata Uslu is a doctoral researcher in Network Science at Northeastern University. His research examines how artificial intelligence and digital platforms shape human behavior, public opinion, and social and political outcomes, using large-scale online surveys, experiments, large language models, and network analysis. His work has been featured in major media outlets including The New York Times, The Atlantic, and The Washington Post.

Uslu is a recipient of AAPOR’s Mitofsky Innovators Award as a member of the CHIP50 team. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Koç University in Istanbul and a master’s degree in Network Science from Northeastern University. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he led the Cybersecurity and IT Governance team at Turkish Airlines.

As part of his work at Northeastern, Uslu is working on both the CHIP50 and 2026 Voting Information Trends projects, in collaboration with the Shoresntein Center.
