July 22, 2015 — The Shorenstein Center is pleased to announce that Denise-Marie Ordway has joined the Center as research reporter/editor for Journalist’s Resource. Ordway has been a reporter for the Orlando Sentinel and The Philadelphia Inquirer and also wrote news for two radio stations and a newspaper in Central America. She was named as a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2013 for her work leading an investigative series that focused on hazing and other problems at Florida A&M University. Ordway has received several national journalism awards, including First Prize in Education Beat Reporting in 2014 from the Education Writers Association. She spent the 2014-2015 academic year as a Fellow at Harvard’s Nieman Foundation for Journalism, and serves on the journalist advisory board for the Education Writers Association.
