Michael Ignatieff: The Refugees & the New War

November 23, 2015 — Michael Ignatieff, Edward R. Murrow Professor of Press, Politics and Public Policy, argues that when fighting ISIS, “fear makes for bad strategy.” He writes that turning away refugees will only aid ISIS in its campaign of “strategic disinformation.” Instead, the U.S. should lead by example and resettle 65,000 refugees, with the goal of encouraging other allies to aid in the crisis. Read more in The New York Review of Books.
